Born and raised in Montreal, I've always had a deep interest in film. After completing my first bachelor's degree in 2006 in Journalism and Film Studies, I decided to pursue a career in film criticism.
Having spent two years as a Montreal marketing representative for Paramount Pictures, I was able to make some contacts, and after beginning my career as a critic/reporter for worldofkj.com, and ioncinema.com, I was hired as a film critic for the popular website JoBlo.com. Since beginning with JoBlo.com in 2007. I've been lucky enough to review hundreds of films, interview several actor/directors, participate in set visits, and cover several internation film festivals, including the Fantasia Film Festival since 2008, and the Toronto International Film Festival, and the Sundance Film Festival since 2009, and 2010 respectively.
That said, being a film critic has never been lucrative in a financial sense, and as such I've maintained a day job at a local radio station, 925 The Beat, where I work as a copy writer/producer/reporter. I also freelance for a variety of publications- in more of a hard news sense, and I'm currently working on a second degree in Education at McGill.
